our Story

The idea for Trav Gum & Mints began while Co-Founder John McMullin was sitting in an airport, chatting with an older couple. John noticed that the husband was rather reticent and seemed to be feeling ill. His wife explained to John that her husband was going through withdrawal; as he was a regular smoker and had just flown from London to Boston. John instantly realized that this was a tremendous problem that needed a novel solution. A nicotine containing product designed for smokers to use in places where smoking is prohibited. With the help of Co-Founder, Leo Potters, a Johns Hopkins Chemical Biomolecular Engineer, Trav Gum & Mints was born.
